In September, our Repair Cafe team in Peasedown arranged for Donate IT to come and run a Tech Amnesty alongside the regular Repair Cafe.
It went brilliantly, with over one hundred items of tech donated, including 44 phones and 29 laptops, adding up to over 200 kilos of tech!

Simon from Donate IT said “That’s a very good haul and will definitely generate a lot of devices for re-gifting to people in need in our community.”
Donations from our Tech Amnesties go on to homes that need them, rather than sitting in a drawer unused. Previous donations have given children equal access to learning, been given to families in need, and helped people get into work. Any tech that can’t be used is recycled responsibly through Donate IT’s partner organisations.
Peasedown has even set up a collection point for any donations you may want to give! For those that missed the Tech Amnesties, The Hive is able to accept items between 9 and 3 on weekdays and 10-12 on Saturday:
📍The Hive Community Centre, Bath Road, Peasedown, BA2 8DH
