HomeKIT
You might not need your old vacuum cleaner or slow cooker, but we do!
Donations WANTED December 2023
We would hugely appreciate heaters, microwaves, flat screen TVs and compact vacuum cleaners in good clean condition working order. See full list below.
What is HomeKIT?
HomeKIT is an exciting new project from Share and Repair to provide essential home electricals to people in low-income households. Its aim is to revive and rehome pre-loved household items for the benefit of those in need.
How does it work?
Share and Repair take donations of small household appliances. Our skilled volunteers will then repair and recondition your donations, if necessary, before PAT testing each item to ensure it's safe for a new home.
Items are then given to our local partner charities to distribute to those in need.
What do we need?
We are particularly welcoming dvd players, heaters, microwaves, compact vacuum cleaners, slow cookers, toasters, kettles, toastie makers, table lamps, digital radios, irons and small food blenders. Donations should be good-quality, clean working order.
Where can I donate?
Please drop your donations off at the Share and Repair shop at 3 York Buildings, George Street, Bath, BA1 2EH. We're open 10am-1pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 1-4pm on Thursday. If you live in Bath, you can request donations to be collected by our electric cargo bike for a fee of £2.
