We just hosted our first event at our new home – and it went amazingly!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Open House last Thursday, we were so pleased to see so many of you. From volunteers to previous customers, current supporters and interested new friends, we loved showing everyone around our new home.
It was great to be able to welcome one of our new local councillors, June Player and even the Deputy Mayor of Bath Ian Halsall! Bath & North East Somerset Council have been instrumental in supporting our growth as a charity over the years and used some of their vacant unit grant to help with the costs of our move. Now that we have settled in we hope to continue to expand that relationship to work together to reduce the amount of waste generated in our community.

We also had visits from many brilliant organisations and people who have supported us over the years including Bath and West Community Energy, Julian House, Cool Ventures and Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, as well as Toni and Becky from BANES 3SG. Amy Sawbridge has been incredible with supporting our strategy development, and Claudia from Storm Consultancy, who has been providing us with marketing support – we are honoured that Storm chose us as their Charity of The Year!

Our CEO Ruth said, “It was brilliant to see our new space in use after moving in just a couple of weeks ago, and we felt really welcomed into the new area by everyone who came to our Open House. We have been overwhelmed by the hard work our volunteers have put in to help our small staff team pull our move together. We’re looking forward to growing into our new location and we hope the local community will continue to drop in and visit us”.
Thank you to our volunteer Ken for taking photos on the day – if you like our new space you can even rent out our Repair Room for your own events!
We’re looking forward to our next event!
