How To Repair And Sew Your Own Clothes

Repair Your Clothes To Reduce Textile Waste

It’s Second Hand September!

Did you know that 1 in 3 UK adults have thrown away brand new clothing in the last year? According to research by The National Lottery Community Fund, it all adds up to a huge 1.4 billion items of clothing a year – just from the UK – and ends up adding to the mountains of textile waste, littering beaches and natural spaces around the planet.

But, according to research by WRAP, clothing that is repaired is kept for at least another year! So, come and learn how to repair your clothes with our brilliant volunteers at one of our Repair Cafes, or even come to one of our HOW TO Use Your Sewing Machine Workshops and learn how to repair and upcycle your own clothes.
