Well, we’ve only gone and done it again!
On Tuesday we held our second Share and Repair Tech Amnesty in partnership with Donate IT, where we collected over a tonne of unwanted tech!!

We even had a special visit from our new West of England and Combined Authority Mayor, and the BBC’s The One Show came and filmed a documentary about the day and the brilliant work of Donate IT – watch this space for details of the broadcast date!
Thank you so much to everyone who came and donated or supported the Tech Amnesty, from volunteers, customers, and Donate IT’s partner charities and businesses including The Fixy Project. We were delighted to meet some families who received donations of tech on the day, and of course a huge thank you to Donate IT for collaborating with us on this.

You can see how well it went! We smashed our previous collection of 153 items by collecting 202 devices with the potential to be rehomed! Total weight 1035kg… over a tonne!!
This included:
✨ 70 Laptops
✨ 34 PCs
✨ 21 Tablets
✨ 77 Mobile phones
A huge thank you to everyone involved, and how great to think all those items are going to be put to good use rather than abandoned.
We’re running another Tech Amnesty on Saturday the 27th of September alongside our Repair Cafe in Peasedown, so if you missed out this time please come and donate then!
