We successfully fundraised £8,000 in April to put lockers for our Library of Things in Mulberry Park, which was doubled by the Big Give to £16,000 – and that’s all thanks to you!
We’re so grateful to everyone who donated to our campaign and supported us by coming and buying cakes and items from our sale in the shop.
Lockers in Mulberry Park Hub
We’re currently planning the lockers for Autumn 2025, and would like local residents in the South of Bath to respond to our survey telling us what their top 2 items would be – it will only take 30 seconds!

"We used Share & Repair to rent all tools needed to remove and then replace our Kitchen, amazing service and all the tools were in an as new condition, staff were helpful and knowledgeable, always with a smile. Highly recommended - why buy when you can ‘Share and Repair’!"
- James

"The BathTub Orchestra went on a tour to Lyme Regis and we borrowed the rounders and Kubb sets from the LoT for use at the campsite."
- Barnaby
"We extended our patio earlier this year and hired a wheelbarrow as well as essential tools for the excavation, re-filling and laying the patio slabs from the wonderful Share and Repair. It was super easy to arrange, amazing value for money and wonderful to know that we were using what’s already out there rather than buying new. Thank you S&R!"
- Kate
Kate borrowed tools to transform her garden, with a new patio and extension!

"This post digger is amazing! I was able to dig a hole at least 1.5 feet deep in ten minutes. So good to get my crazy rain catcher sail up just before it rained the other day. I’d softened the earth for a couple of days first due to the dryness, and watched a quick you tube video to get the knack. So simple and effective. I love the Library of Things"

This customer brought her projector into the Share and Repair Hub because the slider had stopped sliding.
Our repairer Dick was on hand to try fixing the projector, and magically it started working again!
Dick said that the oils inside the projector may have dried up, and cleaning and looking inside the projector may have helped free up the mechanism.
Sometimes that happens, an item that has been left in a cupboard for a while just needs a bit of a clean and attention, and as if by magic it starts working again.
We`re pleased we could help another happy customer!
If you have something that needs a repair, book a slot in our Hub or pop into one of our Saturday Repair Cafes around Bath and the surrounding areas.
Emily borrowed the castle cake mould in preparation for a fifth birthday party, and it ended up being used twice! 🎂
Whilst looking after her friend`s two year old, they trial-ran the cake together which went down a treat, and then again for the birthday party.
Emily said, `both versions were greatly enjoyed by the kids` - we`re glad they liked it!
There`s two weeks left to get your borrows delivered and returned, for free!
Do you love the feeling of having something you need magically appear at your door? Luckily for you, we are offering free deliveries and collections until Friday the 30th of January.
Don`t miss out on this opportunity!
To get your free delivery and collection, browse our Library of Things on our website, select the items you`d like to borrow and the dates, and we`ll be in touch to arrange delivery. You must be in to accept your delivery, and deliveries are on a first-come, first-served basis as we have a limited number of delivery slots per day.

Happy 5 year anniversary to HomeKIT!
In 2020, we started a project that took donations of unwanted small home appliances (lamps, toasters, vacuum cleaners, coffee machines and more) that were going to go to landfill, cleaned them up, and started partnering with other charities to get them to people who needed them.
5 years later, HomeKIT is an integral part of what we do at Share and Repair, and has helped out so many people in the Bath and North East Somerset area.
In 2025,
💫 354 items were donated to HomeKIT by our community
🤝 290 items were given to homes in need
🏡 153 households received support
A massive thank you to our team of HomeKIT volunteers who work hard to clean and sort out donations, and liaise with our charity partners to get the small appliances to those who need them. Thank you to our repairers who PAT test our items to ensure they are safe to use, and also to anyone who has donated an item to us!
Our volunteer, Tanya, has written a brilliant article all about HomeKIT and the impact it has on our local community. Please do give it a read through the link in our bio!
And we always appreciate donations of clean items in good working condition. Check our website for our Wish List and send us an email at homekit@shareandrepair.org.uk if you have something you`d like to donate.
Local charity shareandrepair has reached an inspiring five‑year milestone for its HomeKIT scheme, a project that has been quietly transforming lives across Bath & North East Somerset.
HomeKIT takes pre‑loved small electrical appliances, restores them through the charity’s skilled volunteers, and redistributes them to households on low incomes. Since launching, the initiative has rehomed hundreds of essential items, reduced waste, and helped families access the everyday tools many of us take for granted.
It’s a brilliant example of how circular‑economy thinking can create real social value, cutting landfill, supporting local people, and strengthening community resilience all at once.
If you’re passionate about sustainability, community action, or simply love seeing local good news, this one’s worth a read 👀

Did you know that we do sewing repairs?
Whether a button has fallen off, a seam is coming loose, or your jeans need a patch, why not consider booking a sewing repair at our Hub? Our sewing volunteers are experts and can fix nearly anything you throw at them!
All sewing repairs are done after a conversation with the client, so don`t worry, we won`t do anything to your clothes that you will be embarrassed to wear! Alternatively, if you`d like we can also do some visible repairs, like on these jeans.
After customer consultation, our sewing repairer used a pocket from an old pair of jeans to make a patch on the knee of these jeans. The customer was very pleased with the finished repair!
To book your repair, head to our website and select "book a sewing repair" on our Repairs page.
Please note that we don`t do clothes alterations - there are many excellent tailoring businesses around Bath for any alterations you need, please do support them.
