Mulberry PArk Hub
Get Bath Borrowing
We successfully fundraised £8,000 in April to put lockers for our Library of Things in Mulberry Park, which was doubled by the Big Give to £16,000 – and that’s all thanks to you!
We’re so grateful to everyone who donated to our campaign and supported us by coming and buying cakes and items from our sale in the shop.
Lockers in Mulberry Park Hub
We’re currently planning the lockers for Autumn 2025, and would like local residents in the South of Bath to respond to our survey telling us what their top 2 items would be – it will only take 30 seconds!

"We used Share & Repair to rent all tools needed to remove and then replace our Kitchen, amazing service and all the tools were in an as new condition, staff were helpful and knowledgeable, always with a smile. Highly recommended - why buy when you can ‘Share and Repair’!"
- James

"The BathTub Orchestra went on a tour to Lyme Regis and we borrowed the rounders and Kubb sets from the LoT for use at the campsite."
- Barnaby
"We extended our patio earlier this year and hired a wheelbarrow as well as essential tools for the excavation, re-filling and laying the patio slabs from the wonderful Share and Repair. It was super easy to arrange, amazing value for money and wonderful to know that we were using what’s already out there rather than buying new. Thank you S&R!"
- Kate
Kate borrowed tools to transform her garden, with a new patio and extension!

"This post digger is amazing! I was able to dig a hole at least 1.5 feet deep in ten minutes. So good to get my crazy rain catcher sail up just before it rained the other day. I’d softened the earth for a couple of days first due to the dryness, and watched a quick you tube video to get the knack. So simple and effective. I love the Library of Things"

Whether you`re celebrating Valentine`s, Galentine`s, or just spending time with loved ones this Saturday, why not borrow something from our Library of Things to make it extra special!
We`ve got lots of items in our Library of Things that you can discover to show your love to friends or partners. Why not:
❤️ Bake a cake in the shape of a heart and go all out with the decorating together
❤️ Indulge with our chocolate fountain or fondue sets and choose your favourite treat - cheese or chocolate? Or both!
❤️ Save the cost of a Valentine`s day set menu by cooking something special at home with our kitchen equipment
❤️ Take out our champagne glasses, make special drinks and toast to another year of companionship.
Check out the full range on our website, and show us what you got up to with the items by sending us a photo!
At Southdown Repair Cafe this weekend, a customer brought in her printer that wasn`t picking up paper.
Thankfully, repairer Ian was on hand to figure out the problem, and the printer will now be printing again!
Another successful repair! 🛠️
In January we closed The Herschel Museum for our annual conservation clean. In preparation for this, we had the Herschel`s museum vacuum repaired at the shareandrepair shop. This is a very particular kind of vacuum cleaner specially designed for conservation and the work of conservators, librarians and archivists. Here is some behind the scenes footage, showing Assistant Curator Katherine using it to delicately clean a Warren`s Knife Cleaner from the Herschel`s kitchen.

Christine came into the Share and Repair Hub with her potato masher, because the rivets had come away at both sides and it was no longer mashing.
Luckily, repairer George worked his magic and Christine will be able to have her favourite mashed potato again!
If you have something that needs repairing, book a session at our Hub or pop into one of our Repair Cafes around Bath and the surrounding areas: shareandrepair.org.uk/repairs/

Repair Cafe locations this Saturday!
Don`t miss out on getting your broken items repaired this Saturday, we`ll be at:
✨ Southdown Methodist Church Centre, The Hollow, BA2 1NJ from 10am - 1pm
✨ The Scout Hall, High Street, High Littleton, BS39 6JD, from 10am - 1pm
No need to book but please arrive as early as possible to ensure that there is time to work on your repair, we have limited capacity and our volunteers will do their best to help - sometimes we get really busy and we don`t want to have to turn you away.
We are also running our HOW TO Use Your Sewing Machine workshop at Southdown Methodist Church Centre!
This is a brilliant session for beginners to learn how to use a sewing machine, including setting up, basic techniques and troubleshooting. The workshop runs from 10:30am alongside our Repair Cafe at the same location, so you could even learn to use your sewing machine and get your repairs done at the same time!
It’s best to learn on your own machine so please bring it along, for this workshop you will need to book a ticket on our website. Places are free, we just ask for a donation to help us keep running events like these.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
A huge thank you to Argo DevOps Solutions Ltd for sponsoring our cargo bike, The Flying Satsuma!
We use a bright orange cargo bike to deliver items from our Library of Things to customers who live around Bath (within 3 miles of the Share and Repair Hub - Bath is very hilly!)
Keeping the bicycle well maintained and on the road can be quite a hefty task, especially for our small charity, so we were delighted when Chris from Argo DevOps offered to sponsor it for a year!
Chris volunteers with us as an IT expert, and has been integral in helping us to launch our Lending Lockers at @mulberryparkhub at the end of last year, and we don`t know where we would be without him.
Our Head of Sharing Operations, George, said “Chris has been a huge amount of help since he started volunteering with us and we are delighted to be able to formalise our partnership with Argo DevOps to support our bike this year.”
Thank you to Chris and the team at Argo DevOps, and watch out for The Flying Satsuma delivering items around Bath!
Do you have some small home appliances that you no longer use, but aren`t sure what to do with them?
You can donate them to HomeKit!
We take donations of small electrical items and partner with other local charities to re-home them with those in need.
We really appreciate donations, and accept many small electronics - think tvs, heaters, table lamps, slow cookers, blenders, and more.
Donations should be good-quality, clean and in working order, and you can drop items into the Share and Repair Hub during our opening hours. Check out the wish list on our website for the full list of items we accept, and send us an email at homekit@shareandrepair.org.uk to ensure we can take your donation.
For more information and to see our wish list, follow the link in our bio.
Thank you!
We recently updated our Repair Cafe and publicity banners with new designs, and were left with the question - what do we do with the old banners?
Made from heavy-duty, long-lasting and waterproof material, it is so wasteful putting them in landfill, even despite many years of good use. So during some quieter shifts, our sewing volunteers started sewing this material into bags!
Here Ruth and Julian are modelling the two styles - watch out for them on the cover of Vogue!
What do you think?
We`re closed tomorrow, Saturday 31st January for a special event for our volunteers!
Our Hub will be closed and we won`t be running any Repair Cafes this weekend, apologies for any inconvenience.
We`ll be open again on Tuesday and look forward to seeing you then, in the meantime if you need a repair do book one at our Hub through the link in our bio.
Yesterday we hosted the first Youth Guarantee Trailblazer Roadshow at weltonroversfootballclub, an event created for young people aged 16 to 21 who are currently not in work, education, or training. The aim was simple: to help young people explore new opportunities, build confidence, connect with mentors, get involved in creative sessions, and access real‑world advice to shape their future 🚀
It was such a brilliant day, and so inspiring to see so many young people getting involved and discovering what’s on offer 🙌💡
A huge thank you to all the employers and providers who joined us: shareandrepair, WE WORK for Everyone, curo_group, studiolostrobot, accesscreativecollege, careersswest, rockaway_park, zen_rebel_, coolventuresltd an youthconnectsouthwest. We really appreciate you giving your time and energy 🤝💙
Bring on the next one in Chew Valley this March, more details coming soon 😎📣

How many repairers does it take to repair a sewing machine!
Sometimes many heads are greater than one, our repairers each have different areas of specialty which can overlap.
If you have something that needs repairing, why not book it in for a repair in our Hub or come along to one of our Saturday Repair Cafes?
