At our last HOW TO Use Your Sewing Machine Workshop, we had one of our youngest attendees!
9-year-old Charlotte came to the workshop because she wanted to learn how to sew on a machine that her grandmother had given her, she dreams of becoming a fashion designer and is already mastering sketching.
A huge thank you to Raine for guiding Charlotte through the ins and outs of her sewing machine!
Raine said “I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Southdown today, I had my youngest customer of 9 years who was delightful. She forgot to bring the foot peddle, lead with plug – no worries, we did it the old-fashioned way and did some hand cranking”
There’s nothing like hand cranking a sewing machine to ensure that the foot pedal will never be forgotten again!
If you or your child would like to learn how to use a sewing machine, we’ve got a workshop coming up on the 7th of June at Southdown Methodist Church Centre from 10:30am til 12:00pm. Under 18’s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult, to get your tickets please click here.
