Skill-sharing ‘HOW TO’ workshops are back

Share & Repair has run workshops before but now they’re back — and our plans are bigger than ever.

Over the next few months we will run and repeat three different types of workshops, letting our expert volunteers share their knowledge with people so that everybody can have a go at repairing things.

First up is the HOW TO Use Your Sewing Machine workshop, which runs alongside the Repair Café at Southdown Methodist Hall. Experienced seamstresses offer guidance on setting up your sewing machine correctly and understanding its different settings and stitches. Our volunteers will also check to make sure your machine is running smoothly.

Then we have the first of our HOW TO Use Hand and Power Tools workshops (running alongside Weston Repair Café) and as we head into the spring/summer months we’ll start our HOW TO Repair Your Bike workshops (at Larkhall Repair Café).

Workshops run between 10.30am and midday and a donation of £10 is suggested to take part.

What are you waiting for? See www.shareandrepair.org.uk/how-to-workshops for details and to register (places are limited).
