Bear Flat Repair Cafe will be extra special this November, with lots of extra events. The Bear Flat community market is having a break in November, so there is lots of extra space, and we have activities for all the family!

Repair Cafe
Normal repair sessions will be running as usual with our repair volunteers. Bring along any repairs, from sewing to electricals, mechanical to toys and so much more!



Tech Amnesty
Donate IT will be attending the Repair Cafe to collect any donations of unwanted tech you may have.
Donate IT are an organisation that collect unwanted old tech, refurbish it, and give it to locals who need it most. Some of these donations have gone on to give people access to jobs, are used in schools to give equal access to learning, and given to families in need.

Mobile phones
Smart phones
iPads*
iPhones*
Apple devices*
Tablets
Kindle’s/e-readers
Game consoles
Digital cameras
Smart watches
Cables & accessories
(No printers or monitors please)
If you’ve got old Apple devices, make sure to remove your Apple account before donating.
If you’re worried about your data you can delete it beforehand, although Donate IT will fully wipe your donated items. Even if it’s too old or not working, it will get recycled.

Visible Mending Workshop
Drop in to our workshop where we will be teaching you how to create beautiful visible mends!
This is a sewing workshop for all abilities, if you are unsure what ‘visible mending’ is please take a look at the photo of the jumper below.


Mini Fixers
Drop in to this kids’ repair activity, where your children will learn how to problem solve and fix an item!
PAT Testing
We will be able to PAT test your electrical items to ensure that they are safe to use.
Battery Testing
Bring any batteries you have, we will be able to test them for you.
Blade Sharpening
Bring along your blunt blades and gardening tools to be sharpened on the grinding wheel.
