Our CEO Ruth visited SOFA Project in Bristol last month, to learn from their wealth of knowledge on all things reuse!
SOFA Project have been “Shuffling Old Furniture Around” (as per their name) since the 1980s, and are experts at repairing and restoring old furniture and white goods.

Their goal is to help local people dispose of unwanted household goods whilst reducing the number of perfectly re-usable items going to landfill – and the restored furniture can be purchased at very reasonable prices through their shops around Bristol, and even on eBay if you fancy!
They are an all-round amazing company, training people who are excluded from the workforce in their warehouse, and working with Bristol Council to support low income families by providing furniture and white goods to help kit out their homes.
Who else has some half-used tins of paint in their cupboard? Rather than adding to your own collection, you can buy these from SOFA Project at very low prices, and help to save perfectly good paint from going to waste.
Thank you to Nicci for showing us around, it was a fantastic meeting! Next time you need a new sofa or dining table why not check them out?
