We currently have an opening for a part-time General Manager to work with us 20 hours a week. This is a paid position and would suit someone who is interested in making a difference to the community, the environment and the planet.
The new General Manager will work alongside the existing part-time manager to help run the Share and Repair Shop and our various projects. You will support each other and be jointly response for the planning, marketing and implementation of the work we do.
In this role, you will take on the responsibility for two areas of our work from the following: Volunteer Coordination, the Library of Things, the Repair Cafes and How To Workshops, Finance, Systems and Policies. Exact responsibilities and projects will be discussed and decided together with the existing General Manager.
You will be involved in the development of these projects towards a sustainable future and will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation them to measure their impact.
The role is for 20 hours a week. Hours can be flexible but please note that the Share and Repair Shop currently opens four days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10-1pm (12 on a Saturday). You will be expected to work some days in the shop and others at home. When Repair Cafes operate you will be need to work a Saturday.
- £22,000 per annum pro rata (37.5 hour week)
