New delivery service launched to help Bath borrow and mend

At Share and Repair we now have an electric Cargo bike and have launched a new delivery service for local residents.

Things loaned from the Library of Things – such as DIY tools, our professional carpet cleaner, or garden and event equipment – can now be delivered to households in Bath directly from the Share and Repair Shop on Broad Street.

We cover most areas (within around three miles of the shop) and are hoping the delivery service becomes a popular way to pick up and drop off the things we lend, especially for residents who cannot easily make it into the city centre.

The delivery by bike also helps us to reduce traffic congestion and car emissions in the centre of Bath.

There is a small, introductory flat fee of £2 per journey which will then rise to £3 in November. Special arrangements can be made for those on low incomes.

We will also use the bike to offer a repair service to those who are shielding and are unable to make it to local Repair Cafes

To find out more about delivery or our repair services, email us via or call us on 07486 518197.

We’re also looking for volunteer delivery cyclists (training is provided). So if you’d like to take our Cargo bike for a spin up the hills of Bath, get in touch!
