Did you know that we’re running the Bath Half in March? We’ve got a great team of runners who are training for the big day and will be running for us!
We’ve got a mix of volunteers, staff and the public who we are thrilled will be running for Share and Repair.
Read on for a clip from Jessie and Chris’ journals:
Jessie

Jessie is our Volunteer Coordinator at Share and Repair, she does a brilliant job looking after our lovely volunteers. She’s run the Bath Half previously, but this is her first time running for Share and Repair.
“Over the last couple of weeks I have been managing to get out 2 or 3 times a week but just for shorter runs at the moment. The biggest challenge for me is trying to motivate myself to go on my own when my running buddies have baled! Luckily enough for one week I had the company of my Mum’s dog who was staying with us which gave me an extra incentive to get out. I’m definitely working up to buying a new pair of trainers, although it would be fantastic if Santa brought me a pair!”
Chris
Chris is a marketing Guru who helps us from time to time with our marketing, and has brilliantly signed up to run for us too!

“Dark nights and puddle-covered tracks are not the best friends of a would be runner! It’s hardly a great equation to get motivated. However, I have pushed through and used my competitive nature to get me going. My 27 year old daughter is also running the Bath Half so we’ve been comparing times and distances which has pushed me on – terrible competitive dad syndrome- but it helps!
That and a head torch for the towpath of the canal. Actually, I am really enjoying the training as it is so good to run after a day spent looking at a screen or on calls – great for my wellbeing. Really excited to run for Share & Repair and to fly the flag for an amazing charity”
