In the year from April 2024 to March 2025, we donated 300 HomeKIT items to homes in need!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this possible by donating their unwanted home goods. If you`re getting rid of some old small home appliances and aren`t sure what to do with them, why not donate them to our HomeKIT project?
We take donations of unwanted home essentials that are still in working condition, and partner with other local charities to put them in homes that need them. These could be people who are escaping dangerous situations or moving out of homelessness, any donations are really appreciated.
We currently particularly need toasters and irons for our HomeKIT as stocks are running low! If you have something that you think would be useful, please take a look at our wishlist through the link in our bio, or send us an email at homekit@shareandrepair.org.uk.
Thank you!

Come to a HOW TO Workshop in June and learn essential skills!
These workshops are both happening on the same day, at different times and locations:
HOW TO Use Your Sewing Machine
π
7th June, 10:30am - 12:00pm
π Southdown Methodist Church Centre
In this workshop you will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, including threading the machine, winding the bobbin, understanding the functions and different stitches on your machine, and troubleshooting. It`s best to learn on your own machine, and don`t forget to bring your power lead!
HOW TO Use Power and Hand Tools
π
7th June, 2:00 - 4:30pm
π Share and Repair Shop on George Street
During this workshop you will learn how to safely use power and hand tools, which tool to use for which task, and how to set up for different materials. This is not professional training.
Make sure to get your tickets now so that you don`t miss out! Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
For more information about each session and to book tickets, please follow the link in our bio or check our website.

It`s barbecue season! π
Last year, Medz borrowed a barbecue from our Library of Things to go glamping in Durdle Door for her birthday. Disposable barbecues aren`t allowed in the holiday park and she didn`t have time to buy a new barbecue, so she thought of us!
Medz said, "And let me tell you, they didn`t disappoint. I was able to rent a portable bbq and they even delivered it to my house. Talk about convenience! Thanks to them, I got exactly what I needed without breaking the bank."
We`re so pleased you enjoyed using our barbecue and hope you had a good birthday @joeymedz!
Now that spring is here and the weather is warm again, our BBQ is out of winter storage and ready to go! She`s pretty and portable, get your hands on her on our website!
